Held every year since 1997 (Heisei 9) as the CAR AND CUSTOMIZING MOTOR SHOW, it is one of the biggest events in the Kansai and attracts more than 200,000 visitors annually.
“Customize” means “to rebuild a car the way one likes.”
A single automobile is made up of between 20,000 and 30,000 individual parts.
And those parts can be roughly divided up into 3 types, parts for the exterior, for the interior, and for the engine and drive train.
Making your own car according to your personal preferences by replacing any of those separate parts is what it means to “customize” a car.
“Dress-up” and “Tuning” are words that are often used to mean the same thing as “Customizing.” When we customize the way a car looks to the eye, we call it “Dressing-up.” When we customize the engine’s power and the car’s running performance, we call it “Tuning.” And the replacement parts we use to customize a car we call “custom parts” (or “after parts”).
The OSAKA AUTOMESSE is a motor show based around the theme of customizing. It brings together a huge assortment of custom parts and accessories that will make the car you normally drive more and even more enjoyable. Be sure to come and find your own special “customization” that meets your desires at the Osaka Automesse.
